Gordon B Hinckley

i see that many other people have already posted their thoughts about President Hinckley, but i feel that i at least owe my gratitude to the many many things he has done and the wonderful example he is. President Hinckley is the first church president that i really remember since President Hunter died when i was in fourth grade. i absolutely love to hear President Hinckley speak! i love when you can tell how strong he's feeling the spirit and he gets a little choked up and his cute little voice cracks just a little. i love when his lips quiver a little bit as he gets emotional when he bears his testimony about the savior. i feel like he had such an impact on my life as he was the president at such a critical time of my life. i remember looking at him and his life as i was a little younger and thinking what an amazing man he is! what an impact he had on me as i went through struggles, tough times, and even happy times! i love how he was so involved with the youth of the church and i love the B's! i will always remember him for that. he was always happy and had a smile on his face! i know he is a servant of our Heavenly Father here to bear witness of the truthfulness of the gospel and of the reality of our savior. last night as i read the headlines on the news i was in shock. it doesn't seem real that someone so full of life and vitality can so quickly be gone. i sat there and thought about what a greeting he had when he entered the presence of our Heavenly Father. how amazing that would be to be greeted not only by your wife, friends, and family, but those you don't even know, but touched so deeply. how sweet the reunion must have been with his dear wife who he missed so greatly. i loved when he talked about her in conference, it always made me cry! it was evident how much he loved and cared for her and he truly couldn't wait to be with her again. i am so impressed by the work he brought about and the things he accomplished. what an amazing man! i hope to be able to be just a small part of what he was. he was such an example and had such an amazing testimony. i'm so happy for him as he gets to be with his wife and family again after an exhausting 97 years! and i look forward to the new prophet
