welcome to our trip to Florida! i hope these pictures make you feel just like you were there! this is a long post so beware! i hope you can make it through! we had so much fun and it was so nice to leave the cold for a few days! it was not nice to leave 80* weather and come home to a blizzard! while we were there we went to Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios, and Disney World! we had so much fun, but we were exhausted by the time we were done. we also got to eat at some of our favorite places they don't have here....Zaxby's, Uno's, Jimmy John's, and Cici's. we went to Daytona Beach, but it was not a very nice day...it was cold and windy and rainy. we went miniature golfing, shopping, to the flea market, and just cruisin around Orlando. when we were in Daytona at the miniature golf course we fed alligators! we had a video of us feeding the alligators, but it took WAY too long to load...sorry!
this was in Morocco, not the real country of course! i thought this fountain was cool. they also had a really cool belly dancing show here.
this was near France, i love all the paintings on here. i remember studying a lot of these in art history...i just wish they were the real thing!
Disney World!
for some reason this is the only picture we took there...probably because it was our last day at the parks and we were exhausted.
MGM Studios was all sorts of decorated for Christmas! they had this fabulous light show at night and it almost made you forget you were in Florida in 80* weather. they even had bubbles floating down from the tops of the building so it felt a little like snow. i can't believe how many lights they had on all these buildings-it was crazy!
the view from our screened in porch at our hotel was really pretty. we had a really nice room on a lake! we even entered the fishing tournament while we were there. JD finally caught more fish than me! and he won the tournament! we were the only two that entered...
we found this building one night when we were cruising around Orlando in our Dodge Caliber (yuck! by the way...I hate those cars!). this building was really built like that. it was some sort of children's museum or something. we thought it was picture worthy.
this is what Daytona Beach looks like in December. it actually cleared up a little when we were leaving, but it wasn't exactly a toes-in-the-sand beach day.
here is a picture of me feeding the alligators! it was so scary! i thought for sure when they jumped to bite the food i was going to drop the whole pole in! it was definitely worth the $3 we paid for the 4 pieces of hot dog we got to feed them. come on, $3 for little chunks of hot dog? we could have brought those ourselves!
