summer + school = yuck

summer school. yuck. summer and school don't go together. the only good part is....i will be one more semester closer to being D O N E! i'm not really sure what i got myself into. i just have to make it until august 1 until i can have a 3 week break. yay! how glorious those 3 weeks will feel! i am halfway done with one class...feels great. what feels not so great? knowing i have to start another 8 week class in june. and an independent study class in june. and finish my project before fall semester. or should i say start my project first? yikes. at this point, it seems that i would do anything to be done! come on december! i am going to washington next week, but don't worry i won't be vacationing. i will still be doing homework and taking a test as well as helping my aunt and uncle finish their house. what happened to the days of summer when i nothing to do and nowhere to be? i want that back, please! i'm trying not to wish my life away, but i can't wait for next summer! i will be enjoying my life of work. just work. no school. and a fabulous raise for getting my degree!

the best 2 years...

today is our second wedding anniversary! yay! what a fabulous day it was! as soon as it was over, i asked jd if we could do it again. his reply? no way. i can't blame him...i was somewhat of a bridezilla crying when i couldn't find shoes, crying when i thought my mom was mad, stressing out, wanting everything to be perfect, and probably more crying! i swear planning a wedding messes you up! it was perfect! my favorite day ever! i love you jd! you're the best! thanks for everything you do for me. i love spending time with you and laughing at silly things. thanks for going to school to support our someday family and being such a hard worker! thanks for your example, your righteousness, and your faithfulness to the gospel. you keep me in line!

we went to the anniversary inn in logan on thursday night and reserved the hollywood romance theater room. it was so cool! we loved it! we went to maddox for dinner on our way up to logan. yum. i love turkey steak! we made it to logan just in time for the office finale! this was indeed our priority for the night since we don't have tivo. it was a great episode if i do say so myself, although i was a little disappointed in the ending and also that i have to wait til september to find out what happens. anyway, we watched the office, ate our popcorn and drinks, tested out the huge tub, watched footloose, and settled in for a nice relaxing night complete with sleeping in the next morning. aahhhh...

i decided to get us a little gift to go along with the room. the $5 wal mart special movies - radio, footloose, school of rock, and how to lose a guy in 10 days. and of course, movie treats!

this is our awesome room complete with theater seats, popcorn, drink machine, cheesecake, sparkling cider, mints, and breakfast in the morning. what more could you ask for?

this was a fabulous night and we would highly recommend it to anyone! we went for a walk in the morning around the area and by the logan temple. then we went to park city for some shopping and walking, which was cut short by my new shoes...ouch. we stopped for dinner at jimmy john's and headed home in friday night traffic! i forgot i had an assignment due (oops!) and finished that while we watched the jazz lose yet another playoff chance with ashley, chase, shyla, and kristen. today (the real day) was spent at my mom's celebrating may birthdays and playing kickball with my family with a huge exercise ball. (you should totally try it!) i couldn't ask for more! a great weekend and spending today with jd and my family...all the people i love!

first of all, this will be a long post...pictures mostly. in all my catching up, tonight may feel like a bit of a blog binge/purge, if you will. i tend to take a lot of pictures and then not post them for a long time thus the binge and purge. anyway...

my cousin, tim, got married on saturday to a cute girl named jessica. it was so fun to be able to spend some time with them and get to know them better. they are a darling couple and i am so happy for them. i really enjoyed being a part of the reception, the lunch, and also the ceremony. i just love weddings! i am definitely int the right business! i love every aspect and wish i could do it all...cakes, pictures, flowers, dresses, decorations, etc. i decorated their reception ( "i" meaning my mom, rod, jd, adam, and allison. thanks for you help guys!) and i think it turned out fabulous! check out the pictures for yourself! i don't think these pictures quite do it justice; hopefully allison got some good ones as well. i had a lot of fun doing this wedding and can't wait for the next one! it was a lot of work, but good experience! thanks everyone!

this is kind of a view of the whole thing. the lighting is kind of weird in this one because all the overhead lights were on for the photographer. i mostly wanted to show the lights and the tent-like thing we created. i think it really turned out great because it brought the ceiling down and make it more cozy as well as taking away from the gym-like feel.

wii and my new hair

my dad bought a wii a couple weeks ago and this was the first time i had ever played one. it was so fun, but quite sad i was so sore the next day! this was also right after i cut my hair. it's a little hard to see, but let me know what you think. most of you probably know me like this...i've had short hair most of my life, but am always trying to grow it out. i finally came to realization that i am not a long hair kind of person. it just doesn't look good. that took me 23 years to figure out. now it's gone and i love it!

i'm back! not that i've been anywhere fun, just busy. we had a seis de mayo party at my parent's house and then went to ogden for all of the boys to do flowrider. they had so much fun even though they were all sore the next day. i was fun to watch them, but it was so hot in there! as you can see in this picture it's all steamy and humid. i had to go out a couple of times because i was sweating my guts out. yuck. i also have to give credit for that title to my friend kristen who immediately busted that out when i told her where we were going.

for some reason my pictures of jeremy didn't turn out...it was kind of dark in there and i didn't figure out how to put my camera on night mode for a while. i am determined to be a better and more diligent photographer. i used to be into photography quite a bit. i worked in photography for 5 years and i loved it! i promise myself to do better at documenting things! i realized jd and i have almost no pictures of ourselves the whole first year we were married. oops! i suppose it's because neither of us are in great shape and we kind of avoided those situations. from here on out i will do better and someday get a super nice camera!
