soph was asleep when i left for work this morning, so jd was in charge of getting her dressed.

ahh, spring.

we have definitely been enjoying some warmer weather. we have been stuck inside for far too long this winter. we took soph out for her first walk last week.

this is mostly how it went...

sleeping.

soph had a little "accident" in the tub. then she had to get out and wait in the sink while jd cleaned out the tub before we went for round 2.

funny that her shirt says, "cuddle me". that is the absolute last thing she wants to do right now. she is such a funny baby. sometimes she just cries and cries and then you put her down on the floor and she is fine. what happened to my snuggly baby?

she has also been liking to sit up, facing out, looking around at things. and not be held. so we tried her in her bumbo. she's pretty stubborn and has been trying to hold up her head since she was born, so she did great. she loved it!

2 months

this pretty girl is 2 months old.

i can't believe the difference from her one month picture. her face has gotten a lot chubbier...and i love it! she had her 2 month check up on friday and she is definitely growing.

9lbs 7 oz - 11%

i can't believe she has almost doubled her birth weight!

sophie is such a good baby and really doesn't cry much. she is also a good sleeper and eater (if her weight gain didn't give that away). she started smiling around 6 weeks, but it's been so hard to catch it on camera. as soon as i get the camera out, she stops.

i've been dressing her in all of her dresses lately so she can wear them before they get too small since she's still not allowed at church. doesn't she looks so cute?

gettin your craft on

ok, so i am wondering if anyone out there is interested in joining a craft group.

let me explain....

i have seen so many cute crafty things lately that i want to make, but i can't seem to find the time and i don't like to do them alone. so, i thought maybe someone else out there might want to join me once a month or so. we would all take a month and bring an idea to make. and of course have fun talking, crafting and most likely eating treats!

lately

lately...

soph is getting so big. last time i weighed her she was about 8 lbs. i'm sure she is close to 9 lbs now. she has her 2 months check up soon, so we'll see. she is finally getting some chubby cheeks and legs. and i love it!

she loves just laying on the floor and looking around. she always makes this "O" face.

the other day after i came home, i left soph in her carseat to sleep so i could sneak in a shower. i heard her crying when i turned off the water and i knew exactly why...

this makes her so mad. i felt so bad, i ran downstairs in my towel and brought her up to my room and put her on the bed. literally, 30 seconds later...

asleep.

this is the outfit she was supposed to wear home from the hospital. it fits now. we still have a ways to go for the hat. i'm sure it will fit nicely in july or something.
