we {heart} california.
can you tell? our 3rd trip in 4 years.
she slept the whole way there in her car seat. the way home was a little rough, but not nearly as bad as virginia. she's getting to be a good little traveler.
we spent a day down in newport beach.
i tried to keep her away from the sand, but she kept pulling on the towel to get to it. then of course it stuck to her sunscreen. that was fun to get off.
the water was super cold and jd was the only one brave enough to get in. he was shivering.
me and my girl.
i made her take pictures with me anyway.
more laguna (through the window).
this nice lady at nordstrom gave her this balloon and she LOVED it!
this is the view from our hotel room. it was so cool! the windows looked out over the lobby. they also upgraded us to a room where we could see the disneyland fireworks.
we just took a tour by car after we stopped by the nordstrom sale at fashion island and got a shake at ruby's shake shack. i'll admit, i used to LOVE watching laguna beach, so we had to see a little of it. we even saw laguna high. i'm a total dork, i know.
thank you hyatt and costco.
this is where the bride and groom sat during the ceremony. it was so pretty. all of the things on the table have a special significance, but i can't remember.
this is the golf course the wedding was at. right past the trees is the beach, but it was kind of foggy, so it's hard to see.
my fuzzy head twins
we had to try and keep soph busy between the ceremony and the reception/dinner. she did NOT want to be held anymore so we let her sit on the book table and play with some wipes. she was pretty happy with that...most of the time. everyone loved her and thought she was so cute. can you blame them?
this is the real reason we went to california. my friend nazila got married in rancho palos verdes...right next to the beach. it was a beautiful wedding. my first (and probably last) iranian wedding. i loved the different traditions and culture. pretty sure we stood out with our blonde hair. everyone was wondering who we knew. the ceremony was in farsi and arabic. they explained a little bit about it before, thankfully. pretty much, it was an all night party. and we had lots of fun! sophie fell asleep in her carseat (luckily) and slept right through all the dinner, dancing and music.

How fun! That dress Sophie had on at the wedding is sooooo cute! I love it. It was so fun to meet her the other day. Your house is beautiful. :) When the girls are older, we should have them play together!

What a fun trip! Love the wedding pictures - I love experiencing different cultures like that. And as always, soph is just beautiful!
