this is our new toy we got this weekend. we are going to memphis on the 26th and wanted one while we are there, but it's $13 a day with the rental car. so, we figured we might as well buy one now since we'll need (yes, need) one when we move anyway. AND it was a super deal at target. thank goodness we had this...we were able to find our way home from target. we've had fun playing with it. in fact, jd likes it so much he said he wants to buy 10 of them...i'm still trying to figure out what we would do with 10....
we also went to the state fair on friday with our friends jordan, kate and mae. it was fun...i saw a lot of things i've never seen there before: the butter sculpture, scrapbook pages entered into a contest, and a lady with a mowhawk and a sort of mullety tail on the side (why didn't i take a picture?)
this bull was 3,000 pounds...yikes
it looked a lot bigger in person and smelled really bad.
my nephew lincoln at wal mart last week. i gave him this laptop to play with while we shopped and sure enough he turned it right on and started typing. he's a little smarty pants. love him!
one more thing....we decided on the 29th for jd's interview at southern college of optometry in memphis. and hey, it only cost a fortune and a 10 hour flight to get there. we feel super lucky because our plane tickets totalled $864.....just $6 less than the $870 i got back from my tuition. and the gps we were planning on buying was $100 cheaper! yay! it seems like things are finally working out. it feels like we have been stuck in the same stage of life for 2 years, and we are finally moving on. we are leaving the 26th and coming back the 29th. we want to have a few days to check out the school and the area if we're going to be living there. if anyone has any great ideas of where to go, stay, eat, etc in memphis, please let me know!

GPS really are great!! I have a card for you darling, so sometime I need to come get it to you...whens a time? Would it be better before you leave or after you get back?
We just took a trip and totally needed a GPS, I was also shocked to hear the $13 a day rental comp fee. I will have to check Target. I'm glad to hear things are working out. Good luck!
I'm pretty sure Tim would DIE without his GPS when he's on the road. And I don't think that's an exaggeration either! It IS pretty fun to play with too! :) Good luck with everything!
